Wesley LeBlanc is a senior majoring in communication with a focus on multimedia journalism. Currently, he’s the features editor at UNF’s Spinnaker, a freelance writer for Jax Daily Record and an intern at Clay Today. He has a passion for entertainment and the industry surrounding it. His forte is video games whether it be playing them, writing about them or talking about them. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in communication, he plans to find a way to meld his passions for video games and journalism together.
Will Weber is a senior studying journalism and minoring in political science. He’s always loved reading and writing and has experience working at his school’s campus newspaper, The Spinnaker. Will has dreams of becoming a multimedia journalist covering sports across the country.
Kalee Ball is a senior studying multimedia journalism and Spanish. She is passionate about music writing and hopes to make a career out of interviewing musicians. She currently blogs for Indie Soul Media and interns at Void Magazine.
Sarah Carter is a senior studying multimedia journalism. She was born and raised in Georgia, and has ridden horses for 15 years competing in Three-day Eventing. She is currently completing an internship at Jacksonville Magazine. Sarah has traveled the world from her family country of England to a study abroad trip in Thailand while studying at Valdosta State University. She hopes to begin a career in writing and publishing when she graduates.
Brittany Davey is a senior studying advertising. Brittany loves animals and anything beach related. She has a hope of working within the ad world for surf companies or marine biology, and traveling along the way.
Andy Moser is a multimedia journalism student with an interest in sociology. He’s a passionate Star Wars enthusiast with a love for writing and finding answers to complicated problems. When he graduates, he hopes to find a job that will allow him to document pop culture while exploring the sources of social inequality.
Marielisa Martinez is a senior communication student. She was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, and completed four years of social communication, with a journalism concentration, at the Central University of Venezuela. In 2014, she moved to the United States to continue with her education in multimedia journalism and production. She currently interns at Spinnaker Media and manages her own bilingual, Spanglish media called Ay, Marielisa.
Tierney Harvey is a senior studying multimedia journalism. She grew up in Ohio and has made Jacksonville her home for nearly ten years. She has a strong passion for writing and has experience as a reporter for UNF’s Spinnaker.
Joslyn Simmons is a junior studying multimedia journalism and sports management. Joslyn has called Jacksonville home for over 17 years. She plans to merge her love for sports with the world of multimedia journalism to work in the sports industry as a sports analyst.
Celise Blackman is a senior majoring in multimedia journalism. She hopes to utilize her passion for people and love of reporting in her career. Celise also has a strong interest in music, dance and the arts. She hopes to work for alternative publications in Atlanta following graduation.
Nikeya Heath is a senior pursuing a degree in communication with a concentration in journalism. She has a passion for people, traveling, social media and fashion. Following graduation, she plans to pursue a career as a broadcast journalist covering interesting stories in the Jacksonville community.
Josh Hodges is a senior studying multimedia journalism. From a young age, Josh showed a passion for both the written word and the culinary arts. After college, he hopes to mix his love of food with a career in journalism.
Audrey Carpenter is a sophomore studying multimedia journalism, Spanish and political science. In her spare time, she enjoys running with the UNF cross country/track team and reading anything she can get her hands on. After college, she hopes to become a foreign service officer in public diplomacy at an Embassy in Latin America.
Samantha Dupree is a senior studying multimedia journalism. Samantha has spent the last nine years making the city of Jacksonville her home. After college, she hopes to use her passion for music to pursue a career in radio broadcasting.
